Clean Label Solutions for Meat Alternatives

Citri-Fi TX is a new, larger granule citrus fiber texturizer that provides a variety of benefits to meat alternatives including meat-like texture and appearance, firmness and binding. For instance, Citri-Fi TX keeps the meat substitutes formulation bound during food processing, handling and storage. As a result, this natural citrus fiber texturizer can replace other binders such as gluten. This is essential for allergen-free meat analogue formulations. In addition to the cold binding, Citri-Fi TX creates a meatier texture simulating animal meat which consumers expect.

Also, Citri-Fi citrus fiber creates clean label meat substitutes. When used with potato protein and/or canola protein, Citri-Fi TX can be part of a clean label solution to create products free from methylcellulose.
